Overview
CyberArk EPM (Endpoint Privilege Management) allows non-admin users to run specific tasks with administrative privileges without granting permanent Administrator rights. Applications can be added to an allow list, enabling them to run in an administrative context while maintaining standard user capabilities. This helps protect against ransomware and malware by preventing malicious software installation on college-owned computers.
Description
CyberArk EPM Prompts
If you are presented with the following prompt, then the application you attempted to run requires administrative permission. Click OK and sign in with your PC credentials to run the software.

If you are prompted to provide justification, the application you attempted to run requires administrative approval. Submit your justification and the IT department will review your request. If approved, future use of the application will no longer require IT approval.

EPM Control Panel
The EPM Control Panel is a tool available only on Windows computers. In the control panel, users can run common administrative tasks directly from the app instead of going through the normal process of running an app with administrative privileges.
You can request full administrative privileges temporarily. This is useful in cases where you are unsure what you need administrative privileges for during the installation or configuration of new software or equipment. Please be aware that this is a request subject to review and approval and is not immediately granted.

Mac users can request temporary administrative privileges via the CyberArk EPM menu bar icon. This icon can be found at the top right corner of the screen to the left of the clock. It will look like one of the icons below.
