Release Email From Quarantine

Overview

All email accounts come with a spam filter. This automatically quarantines any messages that get flagged by Microsoft as spam or phishing. It also quarantines any messages from senders that a user has blocked. All quarantined messages for the past 24 hours are sent in a single digest to each user once per day from which they can release any messages that were accidentally quarantined. Users can also check their own quarantine at any time by visiting the link below.

 

Steps

  1. Go to security.microsoft.com/quarantine and sign in with your PC email and password.
  2. From the list of quarantined emails, click on the email you want to review to see more information. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. To view the contents of the quarantined email, click the More icon ... and then click Preview message.
  4. If the email is not spam and you would like to release it to your inbox, click Release email.
