Voicemail Initial Setup

Overview

When a user receives a new campus extension, the voicemail must be initialized in order to access it. This can be done using the instructions below.

 

Steps

  1. Access your voicemail by pressing the voicemail button on your campus phone or by calling ext 2000. If you are off campus, you can call 401-865-2000.
  2. Enter the default voicemail PIN, which is 1472583 and then press #
  3. You will be prompted to change your PIN. Your PIN must be at least 6 numbers and cannot have repeating numbers or include your campus phone number.
  4. Record your name.
  5. If you'd like to record a personal greeting, you will need to follow through the voicemail menu prompts to do so.
