What is it?
Faculty and staff must request software for use on their college-issued computers. This allows the software to be vetted, ensuring that it meets our information security standards created to protect institutional data and personally identifiable information (PII). Software requests will be approved in a timely manner by members of the Information Technology department. When possible, the requested software will be made available to the requestor or the requested users in the Company Portal app (Windows computers) and/or the PC Self Service app (Macs) for install by the user. When an application is not available to be added to Company Portal or PC Self Service, a CyberArk policy will be created for the user(s) to install the software on their own. In rare cases, a member of the IT department may be required to install the software on the requested computer(s).
