Guest Wireless Access

What is it?

PC-Guest is a wireless network available for sponsored guests on campus. This may include friends and family of students, guest lecturers, or meeting and conference attendees. Our primary wireless network, PC-Secure requires a college network account in order to connect. PC-Guest requires being sponsored by a member of the college community.

Users connecting to PC-Guest are limited to web access only. This means that some network- or internet-enabled applications may not function properly while connected to this network. The rule of thumb for PC-Guest is that, if it works in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.), it will work on PC-Guest.

Most guests will simply connect to PC-Guest and complete the form on the captive portal (the site they are directed to upon opening a web browser). Guest accounts can be created for long-term campus visitors - those visiting for more than a day or two - or for events with multiple participants who may require wireless network access. Guest account requests should be made at least two business days prior to the start date.

Note: As a policy, the IT Helpdesk does not sponsor guests who are not associated with the IT department.

Who is it for?

Sponsored guests of students, faculty, or staff can be granted access to PC-Guest.

Members of the college faculty or staff may request accounts for long-term campus visitors or for events.
