Install Respondus LockDown Browser

Overview

Respondus LockDown Browser is a web browser (like Edge, Chrome, or Safari) that you install on a computer. Unlike other browsers it can only access specific quizzes in the Providence College Canvas server, and while it's running you cannot use your computer for anything else.  Your teacher may ask you to use the Respondus LockDown Browser to take a secure assessment in their course.

Respondus LockDown Browser is already installed on campus computers. To access secure assessments from your personal computer you must download and install the Providence College version of the Respondus LockDown Browser. Respondus hosts installation instructions and also provides test-taking tips.
