What is it?
Third Party/Vendor Access Requests allow Providence College Faculty/Staff to request access to College information systems for non-College affiliated users. Examples of users who may require this access include vendors, consultants, and visiting faculty without a PC-provided identity.
Access can be granted to either 'on-premesis' information systems (e.g. IT systems, building management systems, etc.) or Cloud systems (e.g. Canvas, Slate, or other SSO-integrated SaaS applications).
Please note that users who require Remote Access to on-premises resources must also complete an additional Remote Access agreement.
Additionally, all users granted access via this request process are subject to quarterly Access Reviews to ensure that they still require access to their respective systems. The user who submits the request on behalf of a vendor or third-party user is considered their 'PC Sponsor' and may receive automated emails asking them to confirm that their vendor/third-party user still requires ongoing access to their respective systems. Failure to complete these access reviews could result in temporary loss of access for users.
