Available Software

Overview

Providence College licenses a number of software packages for use by faculty, staff, and/or students. The list of software below is not an all-encompassing list, but a list of the most commonly requested applications.

Installation

The list below includes links to instructions for downloading, installing, or otherwise accessing the application.

Faculty and staff who wish to install an application on their college-issued computer should do so via the Company Portal application (Windows) or the PC Self Service application (macOS). Learn more about self-service software installation on college-owned computers. If the application is not available in those applications, please visit the application's link below for more information or submit a Software Request.

Software only available on campus lab computers (not for home use) can be accessed from personal computers on Azure Virtual Desktop.

If you need to install software from a CD/DVD but your computer does not have that type of drive, visit the Helpdesk in room LL25 in the Phillips Memorial Library, and we can assist with an external CD/DVD drive.

Students: Other software is available at a discount. Please visit the OnTheHub academic software discount site for more information. Please be aware that, while that site is branded and managed by the College, the software itself is not provided or necessarily supported by the College.
